Laura Casasayas

Licensed Acupuncturist, Nutritionist and Doula

Laura Casasayas is a bilingual, bicultural full-spectrum doula, certified medical interpreter, dietitian, and licensed acupuncturist, originally from Catalonia, Spain.

Laura’s calling to birthwork became profoundly clear after welcoming her daughter, Naia, in April 2023 at Watsonville Community Hospital. Her 22-hour unmedicated labor was supported by her husband, her mother, her mother-in-law, and the compassionate care of Nurse Mary and Partera María, who attended her delivery. This deeply held, community-centered birth experience shaped Laura’s vision of what truly supportive hospital care can feel like.

Inspired by her own birth journey, Laura trained with Partera María Bracamontes to become a doula. She especially enjoys supporting Spanish-speaking families and campesinx communities, and is deeply committed to helping families feel safe, understood, and fully supported.
